Welcome To Bronx, Part Deux
This is one of the streets of Brno where the poorest people live. According to general definitions. Most of them are unemployed, and almost all of them are Roma.
But many apartments have satellite dishes [cf. the first post on Bronx, two posts back] and many of the families receive social welfare benefits that, if they add up, represent a bigger net income than that of a hard working manual labor worker who lives in a concrete block apartment building.
I am not implying anything. It’s just that nothing is as one-sided as it might look from the street…
